DTA Wales supports applicants and grant holders on the Big Lottery Community Asset Transfer 2 (CAT2) Programme. CAT2 is the flagship Big Lottery Wales Programme which provides both capital and revenue funding to support the transfer of assets, such as land and buildings, from individuals, public or private sector organisations to community ownership.

The CAT2 Programme helps communities become stronger and more sustainable by assisting them to obtain and develop assets such as land or buildings transferred from individuals, public or private sector organisations into enterprising organisations that actively involve and benefit the communities they serve.  DTA Wales delivers support to help these communities develop their business models and mentoring support to help deliver sustainability.  For more information about our work on CAT2 click here.

Community Led Housing

DTA Wales led the Welsh “See for Yourself” Visit as part of an 18 month series of learning visits to community led housing projects around the country. Led by our sister organisation Locality, and funded by the Building and Social Housing Foundation, this programme has now been completed.  You can watch a video on the Welsh visit which took place on 14th September 2016 and read our blog here.

We supported the Hubberston and Hakin Community Centre in Pembrokeshire, under contract to the Building Communities Trust.
