DIRECTIONS TO DEVELOPMENT TRUSTS ASSOCIATION WALES
BY TRAIN
From Cardiff Central take any train for Penarth. Exit Penarth station – turn right – up ramp and right over railway bridge. At traffic lights go straight (past Library and Washington Gallery) towards town centre. At roundabout with Clock Tower go straight across into Albert Rd walk up hill for 70yds crossing Plassey Street our offices are on the corner of Plassey Street, above florist.
FROM M4 WEST/EAST
Leave the M4 at Junction 33 and follow the A4232 dual carriageway (Cardiff Bay/Grangetown link road). Follow signs for Cardiff Bay/Penarth and come off at the exit signed for Penarth/Grangetown. Follow signs for Penarth on A4055. Come up to Cogan roundabout (Tesco’s roundabout). Turn left into Penarth/ Windsor Road (A4160). Go straight across next roundabout heading for Penarth town centre. Just after the shops in the main street you will see a mini roundabout with a clock tower facing you. Turn left here into Albert Road and go uphill for 100 yards and our offices are on the corner of Plassey Street and Albert Road above ‘Oscars’ hairdressers. Park in Albert Road or one of the adjacent side streets. The entrance to our office is from Albert Road up the fire escape at the rear of Oscars Hairdressers and the entrance is next to Poppies the florist. Go through wrought iron gate and up the metal fire escape and ring the door bell.
FROM CARDIFF CITY CENTRE
From Central Station or the bottom of St Mary Street or top end of Bute Street follow signs for Penarth Road (A4160), following it all the way to the Cogan Roundabout. Then turn left into Penarth/Windsor Road (A4160). Go straight across next roundabout heading for Penarth town centre. Just after the shops in the main street you will see a mini roundabout with a clock tower facing you. Turn left here into Albert Road and go uphill for 100 yards and our offices are on the corner of Plassey Street and Albert Road above ‘Oscars’ hairdressers. Park in Albert Road or one of the adjacent side streets. FROM CARDIFF EAST
Either follow signs to Penarth or Penarth Road or follow signs for Cardiff Bay and Cardiff County Hall (A2434 – central link road), passing County Hall on your right across water. Follow signs for Penarth through Butetown Link tunnel across River Taff and follow signs for Penarth Town Centre. Come up to Cogan roundabout (Tesco’s roundabout). Turn left into Penarth/ Windsor Road (A4160). Go straight across next roundabout heading for Penarth town centre. Just after the shops in the main street you will see a mini roundabout with a clock tower facing you. FROM A470 AND NORTH
Follow A470 and North Road directly into Cardiff Centre, passing Cardiff Castle on your right. Then turn left at traffic lights into High Street, which becomes St Mary Street. At bottom of St Mary Street turn right and follow signs for Penarth. Come up to Cogan roundabout (Tesco’s roundabout). Turn left into Penarth/ Windsor Road (A4160). Go straight across next roundabout heading for Penarth town centre. Just after the shops in the main street you will see a mini roundabout with a clock tower facing you. Turn left here into Albert Road and go uphill for 100 yards and our offices are on the corner of Plassey Street and Albert Road above ‘Oscars’ hairdressers. An alternative or better route during rush hour from the A470 would be to leave the A470 at the junction with the M4 (M4 Junction 32). Then at the Tongwynlais/Whitchurch Roundabout follow signs for the M4 West and exit the M4 at the next junction (M4 Junction 33) and follow signs for Cardiff Bay/ Penarth…..
