The aim of the Youth Volunteering (Russell Commission) Fund is to ensure
that all young people, regardless of background have an equal opportunity
to volunteer.
The fund aims to build the capacity of local volunteer-involving organisations to engage and support young volunteers (16-25 year olds) within ‘harder to reach communities’. The fund covers the 142 wards, sub wards and “communities of interest” across Wales under the current Communities First Trust Fund.
