LED Lighting
Typically, 20–50% of a building’s electricity demand is consumed by lighting. The exact percentage depends on a number of factors, but particularly on the nature of lighting at the property (stage lights use considerable power, as do outside sport field lighting), and also what else is using power (direct electric heating uses a lot of power and so can skew the percentage use for lighting down to a relatively small amount).
This guide will provide guidance for energy use of different lighting types, and how installing LED lighting and PIR detectors can reduce energy bills.
