Procurement for CSA’s

More than half a century since its development, Community Supported Agriculture is a small part of our food system but is understood by many to offer a model of reconnection between people and the fresh food they eat. Public procurement has not traditionally been a part of the CSA approach but could offer a way to sustain existing and new projects, widening both the availability of local fresh organic food, and the opportunities for a new generation of growers to make a living from the land.

This document explores Public Procurement opportunities for CSA’s through collaboration, diversification and operational logistics.
