The communities we live in must be safe places for all of us, regardless of our colour, race, religion or background. Empowered and resilient communities are stronger for their diversity, and we must stand united against those that would seek to divide us.

Hatred and racism have no place in our villages, towns and cities. We at Development Trusts Association Wales are appalled by the racist and anti-Muslim violence that has taken place in the UK in recent days, and we want to send our support and solidarity to anyone impacted by it.

We know that many of our members will be feeling shaken by these events, and we will do our utmost to provide support – practical or emotional – to any member who wants to reach out.
