Join us for our Development Trusts Association Wales Autumn Conference at Ty Pawb in Wrexham.
Community groups, trusts and social enterprises from across Wales will come together to network, socialise, take part in workshops and discuss how we take community power in Wales to the next level.
Tickets will be FREE for DTA Wales members (and you can join as a Network member for free here).
What to expect from the day? Loads of practical workshops, a panel discussion, spotlights on local groups doing incredible work in the area and an opportunity to talk face to face with funders at our funders stalls.
Session topics include…
- Flood mitigation & community resilience – practical ways communities can mitigate against flooding, reduce risk, and build long-term resilience.
- Community asset ownership & management – introducing Asedau Ni, our programme supporting communities across Wales to take on, protect and manage the assets that matter to them
- Funding for community groups – strategy and bid writing techniques to improve funding success for your community organisation
- Meaningful community engagement – how understanding place, identity and language can help build stronger connections with Welsh communities
- Measuring impact & demonstrating value – discover simple tools to measure success and demonstrate the difference you are making

Note: this is a subsidised event where we will be providing catering. If you find that you are unable to attend after having booked a ticket, please ensure that you let us know and cancel your place in order to prevent any food or funding being wasted.
This event is supported by the Connectors UK Programme. Thanks to National Lottery players, Locality UK has received almost £1.9 million over three years from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK. The funding will support the Connectors UK programme, delivered in partnership with DTA Scotland, DTA Wales and DT Northern Ireland. Through the programme we will bring local community organisations together, to build resilience, share innovative practice and shape their community’s future.
