Communications Officer 

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable communications professional to deliver engaging communications support for both DTA Wales and our Egin programme (www.egin.org.uk). We need someone who excels at telling stories to convey the power of community action through a range of platforms and content types, including newsletters, social media, case studies and our online community platform hosted on Hivebrite. You must be fluent in Welsh for this role.

Salary: £28,000 FTE (0.6 / 3 days a week)

Days per week: 0.6 FTE – 3 days per week / 21 hours per week – this can be worked flexibly across the week, although we ask that you are available on our core day of Thursday between 10am and 4pm. 

Term of contract: Permanent (subject to funding)

Hours of work: 7 hours per day. DTA Wales sets core office hours as between 10am and 4pm but offers flexibility by negotiation with line managers. Occasional working at evenings and over weekends may be required to meet the needs of the role.  

Work base: DTA Wales retains a Cardiff office. Home working – or supported to work from ‘local to you office hub’ – anywhere within Wales or within easy reach of Wales is supported.

Procurement and Social Value Officer 

DTA Wales is looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and facilitator, who can put procurement into practice to help social enterprises explore contracts as a means of sustainable income.  That person will need to think outside the box to support our ongoing project delivery as well as help develop sustainable paid-for services for members and others to access (to help sustain the role). Experience of brokering conversations with Local Authorities and demonstrating social value, as well as an understanding of consortia would be helpful.

This role sits across several projects, and will involve a range of direct delivery.

Salary: £28,000 FTE (0.6 / 3 days a week)

Days per week: 0.6 FTE – 3 days per week / 21 hours per week – this can be worked flexibly across the week, although we ask that you are available on our core day of Thursday between 10am and 4pm.
