Elfred Lewis

  • Location: Dolgellau
  • Specialisms: Building energy efficiency and transport decarbonisation.

Elfred is an experienced passivhaus and green/low energy building practitioner, who can give advice and assistance on making community buildings cheaper to heat, and on making buildings more eco friendly.

He has extensive knowledge on transport decarbonisation and can assist with different models for charging electric vehicles, as well as different strategies for collecting payment for charge point usage.

Elfred is a first language Welsh speaker, and can work fully through the medium of Welsh as well as English.

Poppy Nicol

  • Specialisms: Community growing, Community garden design, Seed-saving, Permaculture design, Community supported agriculture

Poppy is the Project Coordinator at Global Gardens, a community growing project based in Cardiff, South Wales. At Global Gardens, they support community-based learning about growing food organically, seasonal and nourishing cooking and sustainable arts and crafts. They grow a range of edible crops including herbs, veg and heritage fruits and support pollinators with open pollinated seed, wildflower meadows and native hedgerows.

Joshua Pike

  • Location: Swansea
  • Specialisms: Hospitality, food production, agriculture.

Josh is the founder of Summit Good in Swansea, and has a colourful social enterprise past ranging from coffee shops to pig farms! Summit Good host a box park of shipping containers occupied by local social entrepreneurs from micro-breweries and fermenting kitchens to artisan paper makers and t-shirt printers! They run support and social groups on site for local individuals to combat isolation and improve mental health and are driven to enhancing local food chains with two Community Supported Agriculture schemes and a 70 acre agroforestry project.

Josh also runs the Green Spaces project for Swansea Environmental Forum, and sits on the board for Petallica Flower Farm CIC, Wild Plant Paper CIC, Grace Church and The Swansea Positive CIC. He works regularly with organisations such as UnLtd to help distribute funds to social entrepreneurs around the UK and is currently on the change makers team working with The People’s Economy.
